  •      Extreme cold temperatures affect the homeless and those without shelter...

During times of extreme cold temperatures, the Jimmie Hale Mission does not turn anyone away.  The homeless and hurting that need a warm place to stay and a hot meal can always count on help from our ministries.

See the two videos posted below about how the Mission helps the homeless during the cold...

You can help shelter those from the freezing nights by making a donation.  Just $20 shelters a homeless man, woman or child for a night.

  •      The Jimmie Hale Mission received and gave many blessings this Christmas...

This Christmas, the Jimmie Hale Mission ministries blessed many homeless and hungry men, women and children with food, shelter and of course, Christmas gifts ("Santa" visits the children at Jessie's Place on Christmas morning).  See below for the CBS 42 clip of Christmas at Jessie's Place:

But the Mission itself was also blessed by the many caring people who donated and volunteered to help those less-fortunate.  Thank you to everyone who helped make this holiday season special.

On Christmas Eve and Christmas Day we served a traditional Christmas meal to those at our three residential facilities, as well as delivered meals to local seniors and shut-ins.

We are extremely blessed to be in Birmingham, a city filled with caring individuals.  If you would still like to help, it's not too late!  Your year-end gift can still give a blessing to someone who needs it most, plus, it could give you a blessing in April come tax time.

Thank you, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

  •      All three of our shelters are gearing up to help the homeless and hungry this Christmas...

We are eagerly preparing for Christmas here at the Jimmie Hale Mission ministries.  We're getting ready to feed a traditional Christmas dinner to hundreds of homeless and hungry men at our Shepura Men's Center and at our Royal Pines Recovery Center.

Mariontay is so excited for Christmas, he can hardly sit still!

We are also looking forward to seeing the looks on the faces of the children at Jessie's Place as they open gifts from Santa on Christmas morning.

  •      Local retirement community finds a way to have fun and give back to others...

NBC 13 visited Town Village and covered the fundraiser

Town Village retirement community in Vestavia encouraged its community to have fun while raising funds.  The residential facility encouraged its members to participate in a Bingo game where all funds received were donated to the Jimmie Hale Mission.

In the end, around $200 was raised to help feed the homeless and hungry during Christmas - that translates to almost 100 people fed.
