  Pennies For Plates 2011

       Local student helps feed the hungry by collecting pennies...

       With the tumultuous year our state has faced, many people are facing "giving fatigue," and feel they have nothing left to give.  While we understand you can't give what you don't have, this young man shows us all that every little bit helps.

  
  CBS 42 interviews Jonathan about his "Pennies for Plates" program

       For the third year in a row, Jonathan has collected pennies for his aptly named program, "Pennies for Plates."  Jonathan collects pennies from his school and church and donates those pennies to help feed the hungry of the Jimmie Hale Mission.

       This year, Jonathan collected $700.00 - enough to feed over 350 people!  We are truly awed by Jonathan's giving spirit.
