Beginning to unload the food donations from the ambulances
For the fourth year in a row, NorthStar EMS hosted the "Drive Away Hunger" campaign to benefit the homeless and hungry of the Jimmie Hale Mission.

With sirens blazing and lights flashing, ambulances with LifeGuard and NorthStar arrived with vehicles loaded with canned goods and non-perishable food items. According to Brent Dierking, contact at NorthStar EMS, "Our goal is to fill as many ambulances as possible with food to help our friends at the Jimmie Hale Mission provide meals to those in need."

Several nursing homes also partnered with this event and helped to donate items including South Health & Rehab, Highlands at The Oaks on Parkwood, Civic Center Health & Rehab, Northway Health & Rehab, Cherry Hill Healthcare and Eastview Healthcare.
