Volunteers from a local banking organization help feed the women and children of Jessie's Place...
Regions' employees worked hard to conduct a food drive
for us and even helped load up the van too!
At the Jimmie Hale Mission, we bank on others to help make our ministry possible. Donors, volunteers, supporters and advocates all make our work possible. And our supporters bank on us to make a difference in our community.
Regions Bank is one such supporter that for a long time now, has banked on the Jimmie Hale Mission to help the homeless and hurting. They showed their support very recently by conducting a food drive to help feed the women and children of Jessie's Place, one of the shelters within our ministry.
Members from "Team Green" load up the van with food donations.
We love getting the big cans - more food to feed the homeless
and hungry with!
Every year, the Trust Operations and Technology department participates in a community involvement project. Last year, they donated to the Mission's Men's Center, and this year, they thought it only fitting to conduct a drive for Jessie's Place.
"Team Green" as they called themselves, collected more than 1,500 lbs. of food, in addition to clothing for women and children. Steven Thomas, the President of Team Green said, "No area in Regions has a group of people with bigger hearts than the associates in Trust Operations and Technology."
More Regions' employees pose at our van and with Charlie, our van driver.
Michael Morrison, SVP and Executive Manager of Trust Operations and Technology added, "When it comes to giving back to the community, our associates not only embrace the value, they exhibit leadership in all efforts, bank-wide, in terms of participation and generosity. We are proud of what we do for the bank, one another, for our community and above all, for our valued clients."
Such a large donation means it takes a while to load up the van!
Thank you so much to Regions for their generous and continued support of the Mission! They truly outdid themselves.
