Celebrating expansion and God's blessings at our Royal Pines Recovery Center...
We recently celebrated the growth we've experienced at our Royal Pines Recovery Center. We have been incredibly blessed with an increase to the capacity our rural recovery center and are now able to help even more men down the road to recovery.
We were so blessed with a large turn-out of supporters,
staff, clients and graduates at the dedication ceremony.
Our Royal Pines facility, located in Blount County, helps men struggling with drug and alcohol issues. Using a Bible-based, 12 step format, the Jimmie Hale Mission's northern-most facility guides men back to life through God's love.
There is often a waiting list to enter Royal Pines, so the need for the increase was definitely there. And now the Jimmie Hale Mission is able to help even more who seek help.
Executive Director Tony Cooper shares his thoughts at the dedication ceremony
People like Ron, who was once a client of Royal Pines, but now is a successful graduate of the program. Ron's testimony, which he shared at the ceremony, about how he struggled with alcohol abuse, but thanks to Royal Pines, is now a deacon of his church. He also visits Royal Pines once a month to fellowship with the men currently in the program.
Representatives from the offices of Congressmen Robert Aderholt and Spencer Bachus attended the event
The ceremony marked the end of construction to add on to the existing facility and the final product resulted in a building that resembles a Cross (from an aerial view).
The ceremony also included a plaque presentation to Ron North, who first came to the Mission's Shepura Men's Center over 20 years ago as a client and now serves as the Director for the recovery facility.
Anthony Cooper presented the plaque to Ron North.
Mr. Cooper works in the Development Office of the Mission
while Mr. North is the Director of Royal Pines (and a former client).
Thank you to everyone who helped make this expansion possible and to everyone who joined us at this wonderful event!
