One local company is working to lose weight to help feed others...

IMS, a neighboring company to the Jimmie Hale Mission, is kicking off a campaign called "Scale Back, Give Back." In this campaign, IMS or Integrated Medical Systems, is encouraging its employees to lose weight. For every pound lost by an employee, IMS will donate financially to the Jimmie Hale Mission.
So far, 88 of IMS' employees have signed up for Scale Back Alabama, a 10-week, statewide weight-loss program where participants are urged to lose 10 pounds in 10 weeks. IMS decided to take this call-to-action one step further by adding the incentive of weight loss tied to a donation to help feed the homeless and hungry.
According to Mission Executive Director Tony Cooper, “We at the Jimmie Hale Mission are grateful that our neighbors at IMS have chosen us to benefit from their Scale Back – Give Back weight loss program. Their ‘eating less’ will enable us to ‘feed more’ who are homeless, hungry and hurting.”
We are so excited about this opportunity and can't wait to see the results! We pray that not only will IMS employees get healthy, but that they will also help Birmingham's hungry in the process.
Check back for updates and for the reveal of the final weight-loss results!
