2010The Jimmie Hale Mission thrives on the inspiration and ingeniuty of our volunteers. A perfect example of that was earlier this month when one of our volunteers held a makeover party for the ladies of Jessie's Place, our shelter for women and children.
The event was a pajama/skincare themed party and all of the moms, grandmothers and single ladies of Jessie's Place were treated to a relaxing evening and an educational skincare session.
Volunteer Cindy Wilson and her daughter Kirby led the group through the regimen of cleaning, exfoliating and moisturizing of faces and hands, and the ladies were also guided through a tutorial on future care, makeup application and brow shaping.

The table setting where each lady her own set of goodies
Each guest had her own place setting, complete with a mirror and a supply of samples, a gift of a flower pot filled with goodies, and bowls of special snacks to complement the table setting and pampering.
Cindy and Kirby arrived early with a carload of supplies and spent several hours ministering to the ladies and truly made each one feel pampered.
Cindy is a Mary Kay representative. Any who would like more information on her services can visit her site by clicking here.
