•      “Cover My Butts” – that was the subject of the email sent out by Ben Klein, a student at the Alabama School of Fine Arts.  Ben’s 8th grade class was taking part in a fundraiser to raise money for the dance department and Ben came up with a very clever campaign to do just that.

Ben sent out an email to all of his friends and family that said “Cover My Butt!” and asked everyone to buy a Boston butt to help his class, but with one caveat – anyone who purchased a Boston butt would agree to have theirs donated to the Jimmie Hale Mission.

Ben’s creative promotion worked and he was the number one seller in his class, selling a total of 26 Boston butts.

Ben, with the help of his mom Susan, dropped off all 26 butts, smoked and ready-to-eat, to the Jimmie Hale Mission.
